This policy explains what Portside Catering collects when you use portsidecateringwi.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. Portside Catering is a catering and personal chef business based at 5124 6th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140.
Information you give us
Our contact form asks for your first and last name, phone number, email address, and a message. If you tell us you are planning an event, it also asks about the event type, the date, the guest count and your budget. You choose what to put in the message field, so please do not send anything there you would not want held in our records.
The form is hosted by GoHighLevel, which runs our customer records and email. Submissions are stored there and emailed to the owners of the business. We also receive information you send us directly by email, phone or text.
Text messages
Our form has two separate checkboxes for text messages. One covers messages about your event, such as confirming details or answering a question. The other covers marketing messages, such as offers or seasonal menus. They are independent, and neither is required. You can request a quote and book an event without agreeing to either.

- Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details below.
- Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of buying anything from us.
We do not share mobile phone numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are used only by us, and by the service providers who deliver messages on our behalf.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you visit, roughly how long you stay, the type of device you are using, and the general area you are in. We use it to see which pages are working, not to identify you.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, and our security software records failed login attempts and suspicious requests so the site can be protected from attack.
Content loaded from other companies
Some parts of the site are served by other companies, and loading them tells those companies your IP address and that you visited the page:
- Instagram, owned by Meta. Our Instagram feed appears on the home page.
- Google Fonts. The typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google.
- GoHighLevel. The contact form is loaded from their servers.
Each of these companies handles that information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
How we use your information

- To send marketing messages, where you have asked for them
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To keep the site secure and to meet our legal and tax obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the business, and only so far as they need it to do that work. That includes our website host, our customer records and messaging provider, Google for analytics, and the marketing agency that maintains the site for us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them for analytics, and WordPress sets a small number that are needed for the site to work. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Most of the site will work normally if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and event records for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations, and then we delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in Google Analytics. If you would like us to delete your information sooner, ask us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to stop text messages, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Block cookies in your browser settings.
Some states give residents additional rights over their personal information. If you live in one of them and want to exercise those rights, contact us and we will help.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging catering. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
